Noise Hotel’s Melancholic Anthem “Burning Pictures” is Your Next Breakup Anthem

Indie rock quartet Noise Hotel debuted a new anthemic break-up single just in time for fall

Toronto based Noise Hotel brings a new twist in their sound with their latest release “Burning Pictures”. Known for their tried and true indie rock anthems, leaning heavily on familiar guitar refrains and favorable drum patterns, “Burning Pictures” broadens Noise Hotel’s repertoire to include anthemic, melancholic musings on heartbreak.

Exploring anguish and fueled by raw emotion, “Burning Pictures” is the band’s most personal track to date. Created as a cathartic release and sung by lead vocalist Eric Montpool, this track is all too familiar in a post-breakup haze. In the chorus Montpool laments “I’ll be burning all our pictures / so the memories erase” yet brings listeners on a sonic journey – moving from steady drum beats to crashing guitar solos – where he ultimately concludes “I still hold onto those pictures / So the memories don’t fade.”

With such sharp lyricism and drawing inspiration from classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin or The Pixies, Noise Hotel positions themselves as the new indie rock band to watch. Self described as a quartet steeped in nostalgia, with a penchant for velvet & neckties, Noise Hotel continues to bring a renewed energy to the indie-scene.
